 |
Since the invention of automobiles over a decade ago,
automobiles have changed the word with regards to promote
global economic development and improving human living
with freedom of mobility. However, would this freedom
of mobility be sustainable The major challenges of sustainable
mobility are energy, environment of traffic safety.
Green vehicles, including battery electric vehicles,
hybrid electric vehicles, fuel cell vehicles and alternative
fuels vehicles, are clean, efficient and intelligent |
transportation means in the 21st century. We are now seeing
the dawn of the commercialization of electric vehicles. However
the wide acceptance of electric vehicles depending on cost, convenience
of use, energy consumption and emission. Thus we need the
following three goodness factors: 1.Availibility of good products
with good performance and affordable cost; 2. Availability
of good infrastructures that are efficient and user friendly;
3. Availability of good business model that can leverage the
cost of batteries. These need the shake hand and compromise
between automobile industry and electric power industry, as
well as the alliance of stakeholders. All these important
issues will be addressed at the China Electric Vehicle Forum
2012 attended by technical experts, industry leaders, financial
institutions and government agencies. This conference will
serve as a timely Bridge and Switch Board, to integrate and
inter connect the technology, capital, resource and market.
I am pleased to write this greeting message and welcome you
to join this very timely gathering, which I believe would
